Vangar · Merlot-Cabernet DOC 2024

  The “Vangar” Merlot-Cabernet from the Nals-Margreid Winery is the result of a careful blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, cultivated on calcareous, white gravelly soils with well-aerated humus in the south of Margreid at an altitude of 220 to 350 meters above sea level. Under the influence of warm daytime temperatures and cool nighttime temperatures, the grapes ripen optimally and are harvested by hand. After destemming, maceration takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by around twelve months of aging in barriques, which develops depth, structure, and elegance.

In the glass, the “Vangar” displays an intense ruby red color. The bouquet unfolds aromas of morello cherries, ripe raspberries and blackberries, as well as a subtle hint of pepper and a light oak scent. On the palate, it impresses with its full, juicy character, harmoniously integrated tannins, and a delicate freshness that impressively reflects the terroir.
