The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo presents itself in a beautiful, bright ruby red and unfolds an intense bouquet of fully ripe cherries, strawberries and blackcurrants on the nose, which perfectly underline the fruitiness of this grape variety. These aromas are reminiscent of the warm, sun-drenched hills of Abruzzo, where the wine thrives and develops. These intense fruity notes are accompanied by a hint of spicy nuances that further refine the character of the wine.

On the palate, the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is dry, with a fine texture and gently integrated tannins that give it a pleasant structure. The harmonious balance between fruitiness and spiciness makes it an ideal accompaniment to a wide range of dishes, from pasta dishes to grilled meat and pizza. A wine that wonderfully brings out the typical flavors of Abruzzo and is suitable for many occasions. - Gerardo [TS10/26]

Montepulciano d' Abruzzo DOP 2025 © www.nestorebosco.com

The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo from Cantina Nestore Bosco expressively embodies the character of Abruzzo - vinified from 100% indigenous Montepulciano grapes, which grow on the sun-drenched hillsides around Nocciano in the hinterland of Pescara on limestone and gravel-rich terraces, influenced by the breeze from the Adriatic Sea. The winery, which has been in existence since 1897 and has been committed to organic sustainable farming since 2018, brings this wine to market with careful hand harvesting and fermentation - aging in large oak barrels adds depth without pushing the lively fruit into the background.

In the glass, the wine displays a deep ruby color with violet reflections—a sign of its fruit intensity. The nose reveals ripe cherries, dark strawberries, and black currants, accompanied by subtle spice notes and a hint of minerality reminiscent of the maritime environment of Abruzzo. On the palate, this Montepulciano is full-bodied and harmonious: the fruit remains present, the tannins are restrained, and a subtle oak spice structure gives the overall picture an elegant length. An ideal accompaniment to pasta with a rich tomato sauce, grilled meat, or mature cheese — and at the same time a wine that authentically conveys the spirit of its homeland. - Gerardo [TS10/26]
