From the local Friulano variety, Vigneti Pittaro produces a light and refreshing summer wine. The late-ripening variety produces wines of straw-yellow color and pleasant and delicate aroma, reminiscent of field flowers. Friulano is dry, harmonious with slight hints of bitter almond. This white wine is excellent as an aperitif, with light appetizers and pasta dishes. - Gerardo
Gerardo's Notes: Until recently, the typical Friulian aperitif wine was called Tocai. For a few years now, it has only been Friulano on the label, which does not detract from this refreshing white wine. Moderate in gradation, refreshing and light, the Vigneti Pittaro wines are inexpensive guarantees of fun.
