  The name “Campo alle Ginestre Chianti Riserva” from Fattoria Poggio Capponi already exudes a deep connection to the hilly landscape around Montespertoli: “Campo alle Ginestre” refers to a terrain lined with broom fields and gives a sense of how closely wine and place are intertwined here. Produced mainly from the classic Sangiovese variety, supplemented by approved local grapes and aged in French oak barrels, this Riserva has an elegant density without sacrificing the typical freshness and clarity of the terroir.

In the glass, the wine displays a bright ruby red color with violet reflections, already hinting at its depth. On the nose, dark forest berries, cherries, and cassis blend with spicy notes such as cinnamon and a subtle vanilla wood spice, giving the wine a warm, inviting personality. This impression continues on the palate: a full-bodied mouthfeel, well-integrated tannins, and a fine spiciness that lingers into a long, sustained finish.
