Locorotondo DOC 2019

  Rivera's Locorotondo DOC reveals a delicate straw yellow color in the glass with slightly greenish reflections that symbolize its freshness and lightness. The nose is delicately fruity with an elegant blend of ripe apple, airy hay, and a hint of meadow, as well as delicate herbal spices. Its origin from the classic Verdeca and Bianco d'Alessano grape varieties gives it a subtle aromatic purity that is neither overpowering nor banal.

On the palate, this wine impresses with a lively acidity that gives it tension and freshness, while its body remains rather slender without losing any of its expressiveness. The finish is delicate and slightly reminiscent of the mineral soils of its terroir, creating an impression of lightness but also original depth. The origin of the wine is of particular significance: it comes from the Itria Valley region of Murgia in Apulia, on slopes with calcareous and gravelly soils at an altitude of around 300 to 350 meters.
