The Alghero Rosso Cagnulari is an impressive testimony to Sardinian identity and is made exclusively from the indigenous Cagnulari grape variety, which finds ideal conditions on the chalky soils around Villa Assunta. In the glass, the wine has a deep ruby red color, while its intense and expressive bouquet reveals notes of liquorice, ripe wild berries and a hint of spice. This characteristic aroma emphasizes the uniqueness of the grape variety and makes the wine an experience on the nose.
On the palate, the Cagnulari is powerful, round and smooth with well-integrated tannins. Aromas of red berry jam and juicy sour cherry unfold with elegance and depth, accompanied by a fine spiciness on the finish.
