Lagrein DOC 2023

  The Lagrein from the Schreckbichl Winery is an impressive expression of one of South Tyrol's oldest grape varieties, which is native to the Alto Adige region. The grapes thrive in the best locations around Girlan, where the interplay of alpine climate and Mediterranean influences creates ideal conditions for growing this indigenous variety. After harvesting, the grapes are gently processed and the wine is aged in large wooden barrels to develop its structure and complexity.

In the glass, Lagrein is a deep garnet red with violet reflections. The bouquet seduces with aromas of dark berries such as blackberries and blueberries, accompanied by spicy notes of black pepper and a hint of cocoa. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and velvety, with a fine tannin structure and a lively freshness that perfectly complements the fruit aromas.
