The high-class Merlot-Cabernet Riserva Cornelius, named after the first settler and winegrower in the area around the Schreckbichl, combines the great growths from the top vineyards. This cuvée presents deep and concentrated fruit with aromas of blackcurrant, cocoa, cinnamon and vanilla. Its velvety tannins lend it a full-bodied yet elegant note, while nuances of cassis, wild berries and spices come to the fore. - Gerardo [TS06/23]

"Somewhat smoky and a hint of cedar on the nose of ripe black berries with a hint of tomato paste and meat crust as well as a hint of coffee and cumin. Ripe, quite juicy fruit with smoky, slightly roasted and tobacco flavors, again also coffee-spicy wood, crumbly tannin, persistent on the palate, a little tomato paste and ethereal spice in the background, slight warmth, but also has cooling mineral tones, certain depth, hints of black olives, very good, quite juicy and a little roasted spicy finish with moderate cocoa notes." - Wein-Plus.eu

Named after the first settler and winemaker in the area, this wine combines the best grapes from the region's top vineyards. The careful vinification process includes fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by 20 months of aging in barrique barrels, which give the wine additional complexity and structure.
In the glass, the Cornelius presents itself in a deep garnet red with violet reflections. The bouquet unfolds aromas of blackcurrants, cocoa, cinnamon, and vanilla, accompanied by velvety tannins. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied yet elegant, with a harmonious balance between fruit and spice.
