Merlot DOC 2024

  The Merlot from the Schreckbichl Winery unfolds a seductive bouquet on the nose, reminiscent of ripe wild berries and dark chocolate. Its ruby red color and dense, complex structure testify to the high quality of the grapes that thrive on the sun-drenched slopes of South Tyrol's Unterland region. Aging in stainless steel tanks and barriques gives it a fine balance between fruit and wood, with soft tannins and elegant spice blending harmoniously.

On the palate, the wine is juicy and lively, with a pleasant freshness that accompanies the aromas of dark berries and delicate cocoa. The finish is long and smooth, with a hint of Mediterranean herbs and a subtle peppery note. This Merlot is an excellent accompaniment to hearty meat dishes such as game or beef, but also to mature cheeses.
