  It's nice that they still exist - the liter wines from South Tyrol, which inspire a loyal fan base with their originality, accessibility and pleasant drinking pleasure. Unfortunately, they have now become rare, as the South Tyrol region has been increasingly concentrating on production in 0.75-liter bottles for years. This has been accompanied by a decline in the uncomplicated, honest wines in liter format that were once so typical of the region's wine culture. Today, it is almost exclusively Vernatsch and Pinot Blanc that can be found in this size; varieties such as the classic Edelvernatsch, a fresh Rosato or a straightforward Pinot Grigio are not bottled in liter bottles at all.

This is precisely why it is important to us - and a pleasure - to be able to continue to offer these wines with their charming, original character. Their uncomplicated drinkability, mild profile and unbeatable value for money make them perfect everyday companions - honest, down-to-earth and a piece of genuine South Tyrolean wine culture. As long as we still have access to these authentic wines, we will enthusiastically keep them in our range - as a small homage to a tradition that deserves to be preserved. - Gerardo [TS10/24]
