  The “Puiten” Pinot Grigio from the Schreckbichl Winery is an expressive white wine that embodies the versatility and elegance of South Tyrolean winemaking. Its name, “Puiten,” refers to the historical significance of the winery, which is located in the most exquisite vineyards of the Bolzano lowlands. Here, Pinot Grigio grapes thrive under optimal climatic conditions, characterized by a combination of intense sunshine and cool nights. After selective harvesting, fermentation takes place partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in large wooden barrels, followed by a ten-month maturation phase on the fine lees. This careful vinification gives “Puiten” its special density and complexity.

In the glass, “Puiten” presents itself in a bright green-yellow color with strong reflections. The bouquet unfolds aromas of ripe pear, quince, and honeydew melon, accompanied by a subtle spiciness. On the palate, the wine is dense and complex, with a lively acidity that lends it freshness and elegance.
