Cora · Weißburgunder DOC 2022

  The “Cora” Pinot Bianco from the Schreckbichl winery is an elegant Pinot Blanc that blows through the Überetsch region like a light summer breeze—young, clear, and with a noticeable lightness. Rooted in the gentle slopes of Girlan and Eppan, its name goes back to the Latin names of its origin, “Cornelianum” and “Appianum,” celebrating its origins in its very name. The grapes grow on gravelly, partly calcareous soils at altitudes that retain their freshness thanks to cool nights. In the cellar, it is mostly aged in stainless steel tanks, with a small amount of large wooden barrels used to promote structure without masking the lively fruit.

In the glass, Cora shines in a bright, greenish sparkling straw yellow and exudes a fine bouquet of ripe apple, pear, and delicate floral notes. On the palate, it is youthfully lively, with a juicy character and clear harmony - it is playfully light without losing any of its sophistication.
