The renowned Jermann winery of Silvio Jermann is one of the best in the Collio. It is located in the foothills of the Alps on the border with Slovenia, in Collio, one of the best white wine regions in the world. Silvio Jermann has undoubtedly played a major role in the good reputation of Friuli. After studying viticulture, he was initially drawn abroad. Upon his return, he was quickly able to convince his father Angelo to turn the traditional family winery into a modern business. Not only did he succeed in decisively improving the wines, but he also revolutionized Italy's white wine production. A daring attempt at the time, but today temperature-controlled fermentation and gentle aging without the influence of oxygen are standard. It can be said that Silvio Jermann has written wine history.
