Ruby red, partly garnet color in the glass. In the aroma stimulating and harmonious of ripe fruit, accented by notes of tobacco. The palate is complex, elegant and wonderfully drinkable. The tannins are soft and balanced. Bolonero is the entry-level wine of Torrevento and, along with Vigna Pedale, also one of the most famous. Pure varietal Aglianico from Campanian hillside: ruby red color with violet red inclusions. Typical vinous bouquet with lots of fruit and light pepper notes. Rich in tannins and fine spice on the palate. - Gerardo [TS05/21]

Pure varietal Aglianico of strong ruby color and garnet reflections. Intense aroma, with typical Aglianico spice and impressions of prunes, black pepper, wood spice and some leather. On the palate of good density and structure and integrated tannins, persistent. - Gerardo [TS03/18]

"The delightful Castel del Monte Aglianico Riserva Cappellaccio is one of the best expressions of this noble Italian grape made in Puglia. Aglianico is associated with the regions of Campania and Basilicata, but has been making its way into Puglian winemaking in recent years. This balanced vintage opens to dark fruit aromas with background notes of cola, licorice and blue flower. Negroamaro Lago della Pergola is dark red in color with violet reflections. Intense spicy notes and aromas of red fruits characterize the elegant, delicate fragrance. Impressions of blackberries and ripe plums mingle with the toasty aromas of oak. SCEG · Aglianico del Vulture DOC 2020 (Bio)

SCEG is the new project of Elena Fucci and of course another Aglianico del Vulture: the grapes come from a vineyard which Elena was able to acquire by chance, since the previous owner had abandoned it for age reasons. Titolo is the result of the Fucci family's still young viticultural project. Together with her father Salvatore, Elena Fucci has created something impressive: This single-varietal Aglianico exudes a beguiling, ethereal aroma with distinct spicy notes. "The 2018 Aglianico del Vulture Titolo Superiore pulls me deep into the glass to take in its beguiling bouquet, as balsamic spice, incense and crushed ashen rocks evolve into a mix of blackberries, sage and hints of animal musk. Cool-toned and finessed, this impresses with its savory, nearly salty character and perfumed black fruit profile, as brisk acids maintain a lovely freshness. A twang of sour citrus adds a bump of nervous energy toward the close, as the 2018 finishes with a web of silty tannins and hints of black currant that linger on. The Superiore is a selection that's refined for 12 months in tonneaux, followed by 12 months in used barrels and, finally 12 months in the bottle. It's aromatically stunning, with added textural depth and an enhanced structure that outhweighs the 2018 Titolo.
