Nuragus di Cagliari DOC 2023 (Bio)

  Antonella Corda's “Nuragus di Cagliari is a subtle interpretation of an indigenous Sardinian variety and, at the same time, a reflection of her homeland: grown in the sun-drenched vineyards south of Cagliari on calcareous and marly soils, this wine embodies both the freshness of the Mediterranean and the warmth of the land. Hand-picked grapes are gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks to bring out the clear and authentic aromas typical of the variety.

In the glass, this Nuragus displays a bright straw yellow color with silver reflections—an invitation to its world of flavors. The nose reveals notes of green apple, ripe pear, and a hint of citrus, as well as a delicate salty minerality reminiscent of the Sardinian sea breeze. On the palate, the wine is lively and balanced: juicy fruit, a polished texture, and a salty, mineral finish make it both an elegant accompaniment to seafood and light cuisine, as well as a stylish soloist in the glass. - Gerardo [TS10/24]
