  The Cannonau di Sardegna DOC from winemaker Antonella Corda is a subtle homage to the distinctive Sardinian grape variety Cannonau (equivalent to Spanish Grenache) and harmoniously embodies origin, fruit, and elegance. The grapes come from the Mitza S'ollastu vineyard near Serdiana, whose gravelly, sandy soil—formed by former river courses—and mild Mediterranean climate with steady sea breezes create ideal conditions. Through careful cold maceration and aging mainly in stainless steel tanks, with a small portion in untoasted barrique barrels, the varietal aromas of cherry, raspberry, and blackberry, as well as floral notes such as rose petals and white pepper, remain lively and clear.

In the glass, this Cannonau is a bright ruby red with slight violet reflections - a visual indication of its expressiveness. The nose reveals ripe forest and garden fruits, accompanied by a hint of Mediterranean herbs and gentle spice notes that make the terroir palpable. On the palate, a soft tannin structure skilfully combines fruit and spice, while a subtle mineral undertone emphasises the wine's origin and lends it a surprising freshness.
