Delicate fruity Verdicchio di Matelica from Borgo Paglianetto's own vineyards: delicate straw yellow color with greenish reflections in the glass. The aroma is of mirabelle plum and ripe peach, with subtle notes of white pepper. Well structured on the palate, of present fruit and pleasant fruit acidity. - Gerardo [TS06/20]

The name Petrara refers to a geographical indication that in fact denotes an ancient area of the town of Matelica. Petrara is a wine with a long ripening period. The grapes from which it is obtained face south and therefore enjoy greater exposure to the sun. The harvest takes place only at the end of September, after vinification follows six months of aging in stainless steel tanks and two more months of aging in bottle. - Gerardo [TS06/20]
