Father Pietro dal Cero is dedicated this excellent Amarone, as a sign of reflection on its own roots, culture and history of the area. The siblings Igino, Gian Franco and Anna Maria dal Cero have recently acquired vineyards in Valpolicella to realize this dream there.
In the glass, this extract-rich wine shows through dark and complex ruby red. On the palate, lush fruit flavors, fine tart morello cherry mingle with chocolate to create spicy sweetness. This Amarone unfolds a powerful aromatic interplay of balsamic notes with hints of star anise and wild mint. The subtle harmonic tertiary aromas hint at sweet tobacco and coffee. - Gerardo [TS11/17]
