The Barbaresco Vallegrande Riserva is an outstanding expression of the traditional art of winemaking and embodies the philosophy of Ca' del Baio in its purest form. The grapes come from the vineyards directly around the estate and, as in the past, the wine is aged exclusively in large wooden barrels. This classic vinification preserves the elegance of Nebbiolo and gives the wine a balanced structure without dominating its power. It has a deep garnet red color in the glass, while the bouquet reveals complex aromas of ripe red fruits, dried flowers and subtle earthy notes.
On the palate, the Vallegrande Riserva is dry, velvety and harmonious - supported by well-integrated tannins and a warm, long-lasting finish. This Riserva is only bottled in great vintages, which underlines its special quality. The historic label is a loving tribute to grandfather Ernesto, the founder of the winery, and recalls the roots and history of Ca' del Baio.
