Strong straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The aroma reveals the typical fresh fruit notes. Balanced on the palate, of moderate acidity and soft finish. The entry wine of a winery is sometimes referred to as a 'calling card wine" - as this is representative of the signature of the house. - Gerardo [TS02/23]
Gerardo's Notes: 'The hilly north-east of Sardinia offers ideal conditions for the cultivation of the Vermentino grape, because the summer temperatures are not quite as hot as in the south & the grantite content in the soil favors the minerality of the eponymous wine. This potential was already recognized by the Spanish in the late Middle Ages, who introduced the Vermentino grape to the island.
