  The Abbaia Rosso dei Colli di Limbara from Cantina del Vermentino beautifully embodies the rugged Mediterranean terroir of Sardinia. A cuvée of the indigenous Cannonau, Pascale, Malaga, and Monica varieties grown on granite and slate soils in the Colli di Limbara area, it is a generous blend of tradition and style. The grapes were hand-picked, carefully processed, and aged in stainless steel tanks to bring out the clear fruit and characteristic origin without excessive wood influence. This combination gives the wine both Mediterranean warmth and a certain lightness.

In the glass, Abbaia displays a deep ruby red color with purple reflections—a visual indication of its youth and concentration. The nose reveals aromas of ripe wild and sweet cherries, raspberries, and subtle cloves, as well as a hint of black pepper—an expression of depth and character. On the palate, the wine impresses with its round volume, smooth tannins, and invigorating fruit acidity accompanied by stylish spice.
