  Casisano's “Colombaiolo” Brunello di Montalcino Riserva combines the classic elegance of the Sangiovese Grosso variety with the distinctive origins of the southeastern slopes of Montalcino. The grapes come from the highest plot of the vineyard with galestro and sandstone-rich slate clay soil and are carefully harvested by hand and vinified. Controlled fermentation in large wooden barrels, followed by a long aging period in Slavonian oak and then in the bottle, gives the wine a striking depth and a distinct identity.

In the glass, the wine displays an intense ruby red color with garnet red reflections—a visual indication of its concentration and style. The nose reveals ripe cherry, plum, and dark forest fruits, accompanied by sweet spice notes and a subtle woody and mineral spice. On the palate, velvety tannins combine with a lively fruit structure, underpinned by a clear minerality from the soil.
