Mori Vecio · Rosso Trentino DOC 2020

  The Cantina di Trento's “Mori Vecio Rosso Trentino” is an impressive homage to traditional cuvée culture in the southern highlands of Trentino: it combines Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties to create an archetypal blend that has been vinified in the style of great Bordeaux blends since the 1960s. The grapes come from limestone and gravel-rich soils in the Vallagarina area, near the municipality of Mori - which gives the wine its name and is stylistically linked to the wish “mori vecio” - in the local dialect, symbolizing age with dignity.”

In the glass, Mori Vecio displays an intense ruby red color with fine garnet red reflections - a reflection of its substance and origin. The nose reveals complex aromas of ripe wild berries, black cherry, and noble spices such as green pepper and vanilla, underpinned by a deep wood note that hints at maturation in French barriques.
