Nus Rouge is another traditional product from Valle d'Aosta, whose grapes grow in the narrowly defined area around the village of the same name. The cuvee is composed of 50% of the native grape variety Vien de Nus, as well as Gamay and Petit Rouge. Already in the Roman Empire, during the time of Pontius Pilate, this wine was highly appreciated. Fresh and pleasant on the nose of red fruits, the impression then continues on the palate, underlined by the moderate alcohol and delicate tannins. - Gerardo

© www.lacrotta.it Nus is grown in a small area around the village of Nus. The wine is a cuvèe whose main grape variety, Vien de Nus, a native, remarkably vigorous grape variety, accounts for at least 50%. It is said that even the Romans knew this grape variety: thus, legend has it that this wine even tasted good to Pontius Pilate. - Gerardo
