© www.cusumano.it This wine bears the name of one of the many natural springs that bubble in this part of the island. The Insolia vines grow at 700 to 800 meters above sea level near Grisi, a town in western Sicily in the province of Palermo, on the Piana degli Albanesi. The vineyards are surrounded by the woods and scrub of Tenuta Ficuzza. Cubìa is fermented in 2,000-liter wooden barrels and aged on its lees for six months: A great wine in the international style, which nevertheless reflects the character of this typical Sicilian grape variety at its best. - Gerardo [TS10/21]
