The Etna Bianco Alta Mora from Cusumano is an expressive white wine that impressively captures the essence of the Sicilian volcanic region. The Carricante grapes come from high-altitude, selected vineyards - including Contrada Praino near Milo and Verzella, Pietramarina and Arrigo near Castiglione di Sicilia. The wine is a bright deep yellow in the glass. The bouquet is elegant and complex with aromas of Granny Smith apple, red grapefruit, lemon blossom and a subtle herbal note reminiscent of fresh mountain air.

On the palate, Etna Bianco impresses with its precise structure, animating acidity and pronounced minerality. This mineral tension gives it a taut elegance that is characterized by the volcanic soils. The finish is clear, long and vibrant - an impressive white wine with character that authentically and stylishly expresses the cool climate and uniqueness of the Etna terroir. - Gerardo [TS10/23]

"Bright straw yellow with golden reflections. On the nose of tropical fruit, orange peel, ripe apple and some fumé. On the palate very mineral, fresh and salty, animated to drink, balanced, long finish." - Falstaff
"Straw yellow. Fruity and aromatic on the nose with notes of exotic fruit, yellow citrus, medicinal herbs and light flint. Powerful and salty on the palate, fresh, pleasant and of delicious drinkability." - Daniele Cernilli (Doctor Wine)

"A restrained nose with notes of tar and fresh pavement and then lemons and limes opens onto a palate that's bright with citrus but also stony and peppery, before a long finish carried by substantial acid." - Wine Enthusiast

Cusumano's Alta Mora Etna Bianco comes from the spectacular high altitudes on the northern slope of Mount Etna and thus vividly reflects the volcanic terroir of its origin. The grapes of the indigenous Carricante variety are cultivated on deep, black lava and lava soils, where altitude, sea breezes, and soil structure combine to produce a distinctive minerality and lightness. Classically aged in stainless steel tanks and stored on fine lees, this wine retains its varietal freshness, but the terroir gives it a salty, stony substance that lends it its alpine and Mediterranean character.

In the glass, Alta Mora displays a warm straw to golden yellow color, interspersed with greenish-silvery reflections—a visual expression of its alpine origins. The nose reveals elegant aromas of ripe pear, yellow apple, and citrus zest, accompanied by floral notes and a delicate herbal spice, while a noticeable smoky and flinty minerality resonates in the background. On the palate, the wine impresses with a polished texture, crystalline clarity, and a salty tension that almost floats into a long-lasting finish—a white wine that convincingly combines origin, style, and technique and is equally inviting with fish dishes, seafood, or as a meditative pleasure in the glass. - Gerardo [TS10/23]
