Cusumano, Sicily
The Carricante grapes for this Etna Bianco come from Contrada Praino near Milo, Contrade Verzella, Pietramarina and Arrigo near Castiglione di Sicilia. The color in the glass is an intense yellow, on the nose notes of Granny Smith apple as well as red grapefruit and some lemon blossom. Gerardo's Notes: The Carricante grapes come from the Contrada Praino near Milo with 100% southern exposure and the Contrade Verzella, Pietramarina and Arrigo near Casti- glione di Sicilia located near the winery. The height of the plantations varies between 500 and 600 meters of altitude, for a total of eight hectares. All the vineyards are densely planted. After pressing, Etna Bianco is aged only in stainless steel tanks, including four months on the fine lees followed by bottle aging. A super companion of seafood as well as sushi and sashimi.
