  With its elegant cuvée of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, Donnafugata's Angheli Rosso Sicilia embodies the southwestern Roman wine landscape of Sicily in an internationally inspired style. On the clayey and calcareous soils of Tenuta Contessa Entellina, the wine benefits from intense sunshine, Mediterranean warmth, and striking day-night temperature fluctuations. The grapes were hand-picked and then fermented traditionally before the wine was aged for around twelve months in French barriques and then bottle-aged.

In the glass, Angheli displays a deep ruby red color with violet reflections and exudes an inviting bouquet of ripe cherries, plums, and blackberry aromas, flanked by subtle notes of menthol, cocoa, and licorice—hints of its wood aging and origin. On the palate, it delights with a velvety texture, well-integrated tannins, and an elegant balance between fruitiness and lively freshness.
