  Donnafugata's Mille e Una Notte is an impressive tribute to Sicilian elegance: originally created from a combination of the native Nero d'Avola variety with selected international grape varieties such as Petit Verdot and Syrah, it comes from the limestone and clay soils of the hills around Contessa Entellina in southwestern Sicily. The grapes are hand-picked, rigorously selected on a vibrating table, and gently aged in new French barriques after maceration, followed by extended bottle aging—a production process that clearly emphasizes depth, structure, and origin.

In the glass, Mille e Una Notte reveals an intense ruby red color with violet reflections - a visual statement of its concentration. The bouquet delights with complex aromas of black mulberries and plums, accompanied by spicy notes of black pepper and licorice, as well as subtle hints of mint and cocoa beans - a complex interplay of fruit, spice, and depth.
