Donnafugata's Etna Rosso Dea Vulcano presents itself in an elegant, bright ruby red and opens with a multi-faceted bouquet that masterfully reflects the wine's volcanic origins. Aromas of red fruits and delicate notes of violets are complemented by subtle tertiary nuances such as black pepper and a hint of sweet petum. On the palate, the Dea Vulcano is fresh and supple, with fine-grained, well-integrated tannins and a harmonious structure. The finish is balanced and juicy, giving this red wine a lively elegance that is ideal with dishes featuring game birds, mature cheese or Mediterranean meat dishes. Her complexity has always inspired poets and artists, like the illustrator Stefano Vitale, who interprets in this design the myth of the volcano goddess Dea Vulcano, to whom wine and fragrant herbs were sacrificed in the past.
