Gerardo's Notes: 'This wine embodies the elegance and 'revolutionary' aspirations of Alain Delon in his role in the film 'Il Gattopardo' by Visconti, the film adaptation of the novel of the same name by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa. In 2015 the label featured a new illustration by artist Stefano Vitale, who dedicated this work to Giacomo Rallo, the visionary captain of Donnafugata. The Contessa winery is still there, in the clouds, almost like a mirage. A magical place where Giacomo, together with his wife Gabriella, began the adventure of Donnafugata and where there are some vineyards that contribute to the blend of Tancredi. Places where the memory of this man and his dreams realized is indelible.
