The grapes of Lillové come from the vineyard of the same name in Barbagia, an outstanding Cannonau zone of Sardinia. The bouquet is complex, with clear hints of ripe fruit and violets. Harmonious on the palate with present yet soft tannins. - Gerardo [TS06/22]

Gerardo's Notes: Lillové comes from Barbagia, located in the heart of Sardinia, in an excellent Cannonau area where optimal ripeness of the grapes is guaranteed. Well-structured soils of weathered granite rock provide sufficient freshness even in hot summers. The climate is dry and the vineyards are well ventilated, so the vines hardly need the well-known treatments against vineyard diseases. A small number of buds per vine allows for a low but high quality grape yield. Illové is made mainly from Cannonau grapes, with a small percentage of native red grapes. Illové is also the name of the vineyard where it grows.
