Guido Berlucchi's '61 Franciacorta Extra Brut presents itself in the glass with a clear straw yellow color and subtle greenish reflections that emphasize its freshness and elegance. The mousse is soft, velvety, and persistently delicate, while the fine, even perlage gives the wine a lively, elegant texture. The nose reveals a multifaceted bouquet of fresh apple notes, floral honey, delicate vineyard peach, and a hint of biscuit, creating a charming balance of fruit and fine baking spices.

On the palate, the Extra Brut impresses with its clearly defined structure and harmonious balance. The lively acidity provides freshness and tension, while the long finish revives the yellow fruit aromas. The fine perlage and the precise balance between fruit, acidity, and delicate creaminess give the wine remarkable finesse, drinkability, and elegance. It is ideal as an aperitif, pairs well with fine fish dishes or delicate poultry preparations, and impressively demonstrates the craftsmanship of the Berlucchi house. - Gerardo [TS10/26]

"Brilliant straw yellow with fine-grained perlage. In the nose of ripe stone fruit and apple, in the reverberation slightly yeasty and bread crust. On the palate dry, with well integrated perlage, fresh and juicy, long finish." - Falstaff

The '61 Franciacorta Extra Brut from Guido Berlucchi in Lombardy appears in the glass in a light straw yellow color with sparkling, fine bubbles that emphasize the elegance and liveliness of this sparkling wine. The nose reveals a complex bouquet of white flowers, green apples, pears, and a hint of citrus, complemented by subtle notes of brioche and almonds, indicative of traditional bottle fermentation and long maturation. The grapes come from selected top vineyards in the Franciacorta region, whose calcareous soils and cool microclimate ensure freshness, finesse, and aromatic precision. Particularly noteworthy is the Extra Brut classification, which, with a very low residual sugar content, brings out the purity of the fruit and the minerality of the terroir to their best advantage.

On the palate, the '61 Franciacorta Extra Brut is lively, elegant, and dry, supported by a fine, persistent perlage that harmoniously complements the floral and fruity notes. The taut, balanced acidity gives the wine freshness and vitality, while the long, mineral-elegant finish underscores the quality of the soil and the precision of the traditional production method. Each bottle of this Franciacorta embodies the long-standing tradition, craftsmanship, and excellence of the Guido Berlucchi winery and is suitable as an exclusive aperitif or as an accompaniment to fine dining. - Gerardo [TS10/26]
