"The Cantina Kaltern Alto Adige Pinot Bianco Quintessenz is part of this estate's top-shelf line of Alto Adige wines. Pinot Bianco is especially well suited to the white limestone soils, glacier fans and high altitudes of the Italian Dolomites (grapes for this wine are planted from 550 to 600 meters above sea level). This Pinot Bianco (aged in large oak casks for eight months) explores that infinity with special care and expertise, offering a very precise and elegant expression of this versatile white grape. Orchard fruit and Golden Delicious apple open the experience, and the wine moves carefully to embrace aromas of sage, salt, crushed stone and almond.
