Saleit · Chardonnay DOC 2024

  The ‘Saleit’ Chardonnay from the Kaltern Winery embodies the high artistry of South Tyrolean winegrowing culture. The grapes for this white wine come from the best vineyards around Lake Kaltern, where the mild climate and calcareous soils offer ideal conditions for cultivation. After harvesting by hand, the grapes are gently pressed whole, followed by temperature-controlled fermentation. The wine is aged for five months on the fine lees in large wooden barrels, which gives it additional complexity. Before bottling, the wine is lightly filtered to preserve its clarity and structure.

In the glass, the Saleit Chardonnay presents itself in a brilliant straw yellow color. The bouquet unfolds aromas of exotic fruits such as pineapple and mango, accompanied by a subtle hint of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and creamy with a balanced acidity that gives it freshness.
