  The organic white wine “Laven Südtirol Bianco” from the Bolzano Winery transports you with subtle understatement into a cuvée of Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Grigio, interwoven like elements of an alpine painting. The mineral-rich porphyry soil around Bolzano takes shape here: the wine's name refers to the volcanic “Laven” from whose rock the Bolzano porphyry was formed. In the vineyards at an altitude of around 600 meters and on porphyry-rich soils, hand-picked grapes create a connection between soil, climate, and grape varieties that speaks of the terroir, while organic winemaking with gentle pressing, malolactic fermentation, and storage on fine lees in stainless steel, concrete, and oak barrels (pyramid) gives the wine structure and depth.

In the glass, the Laven displays a light straw yellow color with delicate green reflections, accompanied by aromas of ripe fruits such as apple, pear, and peach, underpinned by hints of exotic tropical fruits such as pineapple—lively yet elegant.
