  Years of extensive research and countless tests involving the production of tiny quantities of wine laid the foundation for this exceptional Chardonnay: the “Curlan” Chardonnay Riserva from the Girlan Winery is a prime example of the fine art of winemaking in South Tyrol. The grapes come from two selected plots owned exclusively by the winery, located on the Gschleier and Schreckbichl hills at altitudes between 450 and 500 meters above sea level. These sites are characterized by mineral-rich soils that were sedimented during the Ice Age and offer ideal conditions for Chardonnay vines. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are gently pressed and the must ferments slowly in barriques. The subsequent maturation over 18 months in wooden barrels gives the wine additional depth and complexity.

In the glass, Curlan presents itself in an intense golden yellow with green reflections. The bouquet is complex and elegant, with aromas of ripe citrus fruits, peach, and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and creamy, accompanied by lively acidity and a fine minerality. The finish is long and harmonious.
