Kurtatscher Kalterersee Auslese is a very soft, delicate Vernatsch. In the Mediterranean climate on sites gently sloping down to the warmest lake in the Alps, the Vernatsch grape develops silky tannins and a plump fruit body that gets its zest from a lively acidity. - Gerardo [TS07/18]
The Vernatsch grapes of the Lake Kaltern wine grow in the classic Lake Kaltern DOC growing area, which extends to Kurtatsch. On the sandy soils with a light clay content, it thrives on slopes between 280 and 450 meters above sea level, where it can develop its supple fruit body.
