Calaonda is a rich, fruity red wine that impressively combines the soul of Calabria with the international elegance of its grape varieties. The cuvée of 50% Magliocco and 50% Merlot creates a harmonious balance between Mediterranean warmth and cosmopolitan sophistication. The wine is already soft and supple in the glass, with a deep, inviting color and an intense aroma of ripe red fruits, dark berries and a hint of herbs.
On the palate, the Calaonda impresses with its gentle texture, fine tannins and subtle fruit sweetness, which gives the wine fullness and accessibility. The suppleness of the Merlot is skillfully combined with the characterful depth of the Magliocco. The name “Calaonda” - a reference to the Calabrian baraonda, the colorful, lively hustle and bustle of everyday life - is reflected in the wine's lively, yet balanced personality.
