  In addition to the main wine, the Duca Sanfelice also enjoys an excellent reputation and is one of Librandi's flagship wines. It is a classic Cirò Riserva made exclusively from hand-picked Gaglioppo grapes - an indigenous variety that has been native to Calabria for centuries. Two years of ageing in stainless steel tanks gives the wine depth and expression. The Duca Sanfelice shows the potential of this often underestimated grape variety: powerful, full of character, but never heavy or overloaded.

Despite its intensity, this red wine always remains elegant and balanced, with a fine tannin structure and spicy, fruity aromas that authentically reflect the terroir of the Cirò region. The Duca is a true original - typically Calabrian, with backbone and style. Formerly immediately recognizable by its historic label, it has now been integrated into Librandi's new, modernized design, but this does not detract from the character of the wine.
