Gerardo's Notes: 'In addition to Gravello, Librandi's Duca Sanfelice also enjoys a very high profile. It is a Ciro Riserva obtained from the best hand-picked Gaglioppo grapes and refined by three years of aging. With this Calabrian original, Librandi impressively demonstrates the potential of the Gaglioppo grape, it is an independent and powerful red wine with expression and terroir reference, yet this Ciro Riserva always keeps the typical elegance and is never opulent. The 'Duca' is one of the flagships of Librandi and until recently was also famous for its historic label, which unfortunately has been replaced in modern times by a uniform design.
