  This award-winning red wine is a cuvée made from the indigenous Gaglioppo (60%) and the international Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety (40%) - and is considered the flagship of the Librandi house. Released in small quantities in the early 1990s, the wine quickly became a model for combining tradition and an international sense of style. Despite the increase in production volume over the years, the quality remains at a consistently high level, securing Gravello a firm place in the canon of great Italian red wines. The twelve-month ageing in barriques gives it structure, elegance and ageing potential.

The combination of the powerful, spicy Gaglioppo and the noble depth of the Cabernet Sauvignon produces a wine that shows both character and international class - multi-layered, complex, but never overloaded. Gravello is still the first Calabrian wine to be awarded the coveted “Tre Bicchieri” by Gambero Rosso - a pioneering achievement that continues to have an impact today.
