Critone Bianco IGT 2021

Bright straw yellow color with golden reflections. The bouquet of Critone is reminiscent of exotic fruits, apricot and green apple. The palate is characterized by fresh and juicy fruit and fine creaminess and subtle minerality. - Gerardo [TS06/22]

Gerardo's Notes: 'After the classic Cirò Bianco, the Critone - named after a student of Socrates - also enjoys great popularity among our customers. This is due to the selected Chardonnay (90%) and Sauvignon (10%) grapes that form the basis of this white wine. The vines thrive on typical Calabrian clayey and calcareous soils, which helps the two international grape varieties to achieve special quality. It is a mild yet refreshing white wine, the buttery Chardonnay gives the wine structure and in turn gets more bouquet from the aromatic Sauvignon. Unfortunately not available in sufficient quantity every year.
