Graf · Cabernet Riserva DOC 2021

  The “Graf” Cabernet Riserva from the Merano Winery combines powerful Bordeaux elegance with distinctive South Tyrolean origins: Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes are harvested from selected vineyards above Merano with permeable moraine debris after careful yield regulation. Traditional maceration is followed by a maturation process in a combination of new and used barriques and large oak barrels - a process that creates depth and structure without overpowering the fruit.

In the glass, this Riserva displays an intense garnet red color with a purple rim. The bouquet unfolds notes of blackcurrants, ripe wild cherries, licorice, and fine leather, accompanied by subtle toasty and spicy herbal notes. On the palate, the wine impresses with its juicy fullness, polished tannins, and elegant length—the minerality and origin of the mountain terroir clearly stand out.
