Straw yellow with greenish reflections. Fragrant scent of white peach from Etna and ripe white honeydew melon, followed by subtly sweet sensations reminiscent of white chocolate and meringue. Lush on the palate, full, surprisingly soft, supported on an acidity that highlights its freshness. Unexpected finish with pronounced floral notes. - Gerardo [TS08/22]

Gerardo's Notes: Alastro - named after a wildflower that grows in the area surrounding the Planeta winery - is a blend of mainly Grecanico and a small percentage of a particularly aromatic variety: Sauvignon Blanc. Lightly aromatic, delicately structured, with scents of white melon, fresh citrus and white flowers, it is a perfect match for Mediterranean and vegetarian cuisine.
