Maroccoli is a single varietal Sicilian Syrah of intense ruby color and violet hues. The aroma spectrum is broad and includes cassis, coffee beans, pepper and cloves. In the drink the youthfulness of the tannin and the fruit freshness prevail, it is not the tannin that occupies the palate but the wine in all its fullness. - Gerardo [TS08/19]
"Dark luminous ruby with delicate violet. In the nose expressive of many ripe black berries, toast, noble wood, after a little time blackberry and black currant, reverberating with mint. The palate is rich and with tight tannins, taut on clear, fresh fruit, interwoven, substantial, adherent and long, great Syrah." - Falstaff
Gerardo's Notes: Maroccoli is an ideally located winery. Its slope with clay soil is located on high hills between the lake and the sea. Fascinating, spicy and rich, after long aging in oak. Hints of black pepper, cinnamon and berries. An ideal companion for any meat dish. Especially suitable for oriental cuisine.
