Vermentino Toscana DOC 2024

  Rocca di Frassinello's Vermentino Toscana IGT is a single-varietal white wine that impressively expresses the freshness and terroir of the Maremma region in Tuscany. It comes from vineyards in Gavorrano at around 90 meters above sea level on medium-textured soils with a high stone content (skeletal), which are ideal for Vermentino. The vines are trained on trellises or spur cordon, with a planting density of around 5,900 plants per hectare. Harvesting usually takes place at the end of August, when a good balance between freshness and aromatic content is achieved.

The wine is vinified exclusively in stainless steel tanks, without aging in wood, which preserves the varietal aromas and mineral nuances. In the glass, it displays a bright straw yellow color with golden reflections. The nose is dominated by aromas of white flowers, citrus fruits, and Mediterranean herbs, accompanied by a subtle freshness. On the palate, it impresses with lively acidity, good minerality, and a harmonious structure with a lingering finish—perfect with seafood, light cuisine, or simply as an elegant white wine for warm summer evenings. - Gerardo [TS10/25]
