Gries · Lagrein Riserva DOC 2018

  The “Gries” Lagrein Riserva from the Schreckbichl Winery is an impressive expression of the indigenous Lagrein grape variety, which thrives in the best locations around the Gries district of Bolzano. The grapes benefit from the unique climatic conditions of this region, characterized by warm days and cool nights, which provide ideal conditions for the vines to develop complex aromas. After harvesting, maceration takes place, followed by aging in barrique barrels, which give the wine additional depth and structure.

In the glass, the “Gries” Lagrein Riserva presents itself in a deep garnet red with violet reflections. The bouquet seduces with intense aromas of dark berries such as blackberries and blueberries, accompanied by spicy notes of black pepper and a hint of cocoa. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and velvety, with a fine tannin structure and a lively freshness that perfectly complements the fruit aromas.
