The single-varietal Lagrein, whose grapes come from the renowned vineyards of the Bolzano-Gries area, impresses with its elegant finesse and unmistakable bouquet. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine matures for several months in large oak barrels, which gives it additional complexity. Its deep garnet red color with violet reflections is just as characteristic as its inviting aroma of violets, cinnamon and a hint of vanilla. Powerful aromas of wild berries and cherries unfold on the palate, accompanied by a noticeable, striking acidity that makes the wine appear lively and balanced. - Gerardo [TS10/23]

Gerardo's Notes: Die klassische Linie als gehobenes Standardsegment, bietet reinsortige Weiß- und Rotweine mit viel Frucht und Typizität. Eine autochthone Rebe Südtirols; dunkles Granatrot mit violetten Tönen. Duft nach Veilchen, schwarzen Beeren, ein Hauch von Schokolade, intensiv würzige Aromen. Kräftiger Ansatz am Gaumen, gut strukturierte Gerbstoffe mit sortentypischer Säure, Aromen von Waldbeeren und Kirsche im Nachhall. Er zeichnet sich insbesondere durch seine edle Finesse und sein unvergleichbares Bukett aus, welches schon so manchen Weinkenner verführt hat. Der Lagrein zählt zu den Perlen der Südtiroler Rotweine.
