Prail · Sauvignon DOC 2024

  The “Prail” Sauvignon from the Schreckbichl Winery is a prime example of the elegance and precision that South Tyrolean viticulture has to offer. The grapes come from the cool high altitudes between 400 and 500 meters above sea level, where mineral-rich moraine gravel soils and the clear mountain air create ideal conditions for the ripening of this demanding grape variety. The wine is aged partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in large wooden barrels, where it remains on the fine lees for six months to develop its complexity and structure.

In the glass, the “Prail” presents itself in a bright, pale yellow with greenish reflections. The bouquet is intense and complex, with aromas of elderflower, acacia blossom, passion fruit, and lime, accompanied by subtle herbal notes. On the palate, the wine is complex with hints of white currants, melon, and stone fruits, underpinned by lively acidity and a delicate, mineral finish. This Sauvignon Blanc is an expressive representative of its grape variety and is ideal as an accompaniment to asparagus dishes, herb and fish dishes, or as a stylish aperitif. - Gerardo [TS10/25]
