  Tenuta San Guido's Le Difese skillfully combines international and Tuscan wine traditions: a cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese - the powerful structure of one meets the playful freshness of the other. The name derives from the golden wild boar tusks on the label (“difese” = defenses/boar tusks) and refers to the wild Maremma nature in which the grapes grow. The vineyards are south-facing, located in the Bolgheri region with limestone and gravel-rich soils that give the wine a noticeable minerality. After selective hand harvesting, alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and maturation in French and American barriques - an ageing process that creates depth, elegance and accessibility at the same time.

In the glass, Le Difese appears bright ruby with violet reflections - a visual indication of fruit and style. The nose reveals aromas of wild berries, cherry, and subtle herbal and spicy notes that evoke the Mediterranean environment. The palate is smooth, with fine-grained tannins and elegant fruitiness: dark berry fruit meets lively freshness and a salty, mineral trace that reflects the soil.
